Sarah at Ujjayi Yoga offers a range of group yoga courses and programs that run to the school terms. Open to anyone who would like to join us, bookings must be made directly with Sarah before the programs begin. Bookings close after the first class of the program. Yoga for Balance
Tuesday evenings practice is all about mastering the balance of regulation and harmony within. The practice will be centered around balancing Ida feminine and Pingala masculine, with active warming asana and breath work followed by more cooling restorative practices to gradually prepare us for winter and the shorter days. The practice will favour a lot of left to right flows, rhythms, side stretches and looking for Sattva - that place of harmony.

Wednesday evenings class is about creating warmth and momentum to prepare us for winter. Particularly good for people that struggle with lack of motivation or Seasonal Affect Disorder, this practice will focus more on keeping that bit of 'sun' burning within as the days get shorter. So think active sun salutations, rhythms and flow, big shapes and breath work, twists and solar plexus chakra practices to keep momentum going!

This is a retreat to release and expand, with teachings from Sharon and myself, that will include guided asana (movement), pranayama (breath), meditation, chanting, reflection practices and a delicious vegan lunch (Sarah is a vegan caterer as well as a yoga teacher!) We’d like to share information about the yogic body and self, in particular an exploration of how energy/prana is alive, expanding and contracting, influencing our dharma/life purpose at all times. We'll take reflections from the Yoga Sutras to explore how we can harness energy effectively, so that we might not be hindered in living our dharma. Share beautiful, slow and quiet practices based in movement, breath, sound and meditation to help create more space, freedom and quiet within and around. And give you practical and effective practices to take away with you to continue your expansion.

Yoga to Heal Trauma
Developed and led by myself, Sarah Van Est, this workshop is the product of 10+ years working in trauma recovery as an educator and healer; taking all the best parts of the Embodiment program, as well as what I've learned as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher to make a new workshop that will be both educational and practical.
This will be great for those of you that haven't been able to commit to the 7 week Embodiment program; or those of you that have finished Embodiment and would like a refresher!
